Course Start Date

You can enrol and start this course at any time. There are no course intake dates. This flexible structure allows you to begin your learning journey at your convenience, helping you to manage your schedule effectively.

Paralegal Diploma Delivery

The course is exclusively offered online and delivered through distance learning via our student portal and learning management system.

Completing The Diploma

You have up to 15 months to complete this qualification. The self-paced nature of this competency-based course allows you to progress through the material at your own speed. You can finish the course in less than 15 months if you are marked competent in your assessments; however, if you complete the course before the 15-month timeframe, you must pay the full course fee to receive your certificate and academic transcript.

Course Requirements

You must have Internet access and the Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to complete your studies. We prefer that assessments are not produced using Google or other alternative software products.

The 15 Units of Competency

To successfully complete and obtain this qualification, a student is required to complete 15 units of competency. These are:

  9. BSBLEG526: Apply legal principles in criminal law matters
  10. BSBLEG527: Apply legal principles in family law matters
  11. BSBLEG529: Apply legal principles corporation law matters
  12. BSBLEG530: Apply legal principles in wills and probate matters
  13. BSBLEG532: Assist with court procedure
  14. BSBPEF501: Manage personal and professional development

Course Fees & Payments

The total course fee is $6,780.00, payable in 15 monthly instalments of $452.00. The first instalment is due upon enrolment to access course material, and the remaining 14 instalments are due in months 2-15. This is paid automatically each month via debit/credit card. Unfortunately, at this time, no Government funding is available for this course.

No prior legal experience is required for this course. Our Diploma of Paralegal Services with entry requirements is designed to teach you the necessary legal knowledge to achieve the competency outcomes. It is, however, expected that you have an intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy in order to produce correctly formatted assessment documentation as instructed. In extenuating circumstances, MMLC will consider extensions for study for private students, however this is at the discretion of the CEO (up to 3 months). Under traineeship arrangements, extensions for training contract terms are not the responsibility of MMLC. Requests for extensions need to be made direct with the relevant government department.
